The decision by the United Kingdom to leave the European Union, known as Brexit, presents challenges to businesses across Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland, Mainland GB and the wider EU. We are continuing to monitor the situation and potential impact, which seems to change with each new press release, we have been able to make some solid preparations which should hold after January 2021 regardless of any deals agreed by the Prime Minister and the EU.

The Northern Ireland Protocol, which according to both the EU and the UK government, will take effect regardless of the outcome of current negotiations, has been put in place to avoid the introduction of a hard border, including any physical infrastructure, or related checks and controls, between Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.
